“Lover Like That,” is a song about walking away from a toxic relationship, which is an act of self-love. It’s about that moment you realize you’re past the anger; you’re just fed up. You decide you deserve better than how they treat you and others around them, so you walk away. The loneliness makes the pain so much worse, but then you learn you’re better off on your own than with people like that.
